Part of my Outgrowing series, this large mixed-media floral uses big, loose flowers overflowing the vase and push right off the edges of the canvas. Layers of acrylic, drawing, scraped paint keeps some of the flowers recognizable and others fall apart. Rice-paper collage adds texture to the vase while the surrounding marks stay visible and imperfect.
